Are you interested in interested in taking the NCCP Dojo Instructor and Competition Introduction workshops? These workshops are the first steps to work towards the NCCP certification program. For more information please check our NCCP section. Information for each course is listed below and in order to run both courses successfully a minimum of 10 participants is required.
The Dojo Instructor course is a 2-day workshop that is designed for anyone instructing in the dojo. The course will take participants through various modules that cover teaching and learning styles, planning a practice, creating an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and analyzing performance. This course also includes the Make Ethical Decisions training module, a module that the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) requires all instructors and coaches to complete.
The Competition Introduction course is a 2-day workshop that is designed for instructors and coaches who wish to increase their knowledge in the competition stream. The course will take participants through various modules that cover teaching and learning styles, analyzing performance, supporting the competitive experience, tournament formats, performance profiling, mental preparation and nutrition.
