Membership FAQs

Q: Does my Club have to register all of our Karate students with Karate Alberta?

A: No, although it is recommended that all students be registered in order to receive the Individual Member benefits, such as the ability to participate in Karate Alberta tournaments, seminars and other events.

Q: If I have guests training at my Club, are they covered by the Karate Alberta insurance policies?

A: Yes, all participants training at a Club Member’s dojo are covered by Karate Alberta’s insurance policies.

Q: When will the new Club Certification Program go into effect?

A: Karate Alberta plans to roll out the new Club Certification Program during the 2022/2023 season. Our goal is to have all Club Members certified by the 2024/2025 season.
