Letter to all athletes

Families,

As we get started with our new team model there may be a few bumps, please be patient, and feel free to contact me with questions. Enjoy being/seeing athletes back on the floor with team mates as we work through a few logistics.

Regarding the fee structure for the Team programs:

The cost of the program will be for the full season Oct – Jun, 2022. Karate Alberta is in the business of developing athletes and as such there are costs that need to be covered. If our team is big and successful additional revenues from the programs will be used to offset fees for team members traveling to Nationals in July 2022. We realize this maybe a difficult upfront cost for some families, if your family requires a payment option you can discuss confidentially with Heather Fidyk or Gary Sabean.

After this weekend we will move away from single day registration and only offer season long programs.  These programs will be:

  • Youth Kumite Program
  • Cadet Kumite Program
  • Kata Program
  • Team Kata Program
  • Para Kata Program
  • Junior Kumite Program
  • U21/Senior Kumite Program
  • Canada Games Team Program

Each program will cost $210 a person and we will offer a 50% discount for people who are in multiple programs or have more than one family member in one or more programs.

After this weekend Karate Alberta will set up the programs so that people can register for them and For those who have paid for the single sessions (Oct. 2021) and then register for the full programs you will receive a refund of your payment.
