Thinking about becoming an official? Karate Alberta’s Officials Course provides an introduction to refereeing and judging in kata and kumite. Open to both new and experienced officials, the course covers rules, scoring, warnings,and procedures, making it a great way to start officiating or refresh your knowledge for the upcoming season.

• The Theory Seminar and Exam will be held on Saturday September 26th from 9am to 5pm.
• A meeting link will be sent to registered attendees prior to the day of the course.
• For those that pass the exams an opportunity for practical evaluation will be possible at KA Tournament on October 3rd in Edmonton. Other opportunities for practical evaluations will be possible at future tournaments.
• Re-testing opportunities for candidates within approximately 5% of the passing grade will be offered the following days and must be completed prior to the Tournament on October 3rd.
