NCCP Online Instructor Beginner Course
This is the first of three courses Karate Alberta will be scheduling specifically to help develop the pool of available coaches for the 2023 Canada Games. Coaches at the games, February 2023, will need to be certified at the Comp Dev level and this is the first step on your way to certification.~
Karate Alberta is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a NCCP Online Instructor Beginner course.
NCCP training is a valuable resumé item for coaches of all ages, especially teens. The training includes teaching theory, the ethical decision-making process and how to analyze karate students technical performance. NCCP is recognized by Sport Canada and therefore, is recognized by most school boards, the YMCA, municipal community centres and other organizations and which can be valuable when applying for a job.
Modules:
Cost: KC members $125 Non-members $230 for online sessions
Karate Alberta Members, Other Karate Canada PTSO members* – in good standing
Proof of membership required.
~Please note that participation in this course or the subsequent Comp Intro and Comp Dev courses will not necessarily result in selection to the Canada Games staffing compliment.
Non Karate Canada Members – not eligible to achieve Full NCCP Certification at any Karate Level

This online opportunity will kick start your coaching pathway!
Following the course you will also need to complete a ½ day in person training to be recognized as TRAINED coach.
