Criminal Record Checks

Criminal Record, or Police Background checks are a requirement for Head Instructors, Assistant Instructors, Officials and Coaches under Karate Alberta’s Screening Policy.

Police Background checks must be renewed every three (3) years at a minimum and must be done by the RCMP detachment or municipal law enforcement located in the same community as the Club Member.

Karate Alberta can supply a request letter to reduce or cover the cost of the Police Background check, depending upon the role of the individual.
