Karate Alberta is excited to host a one-day kumite clinic with WKF world champion and Karate Alberta assistant coach, Luis Plumacher the weekend of December 2nd and 3rd, 2017. The clinic will be offered in both Calgary, Alberta (December 2, 2017) and St. Albert, Alberta (December 3, 2017).
Luis Plumacher is a WKF world champion from Venezuela. Aside from winning a world championship in 2004, Luis Plumacher was also a silver medalist in 2006, and in the World Games in 2005. Plumacher was part of the Venezuelan National karate team for 10 years, from 2000 to 2010. Plumacher kept a very high performance during his competitive years, which made him achieve a reputation as the best fighter on his division, and leading him to 2 World finals, earning him a spot as one of the best world fighters in karate-do competitions. Luis’s story is one of consistency. He started at a young age winning junior Pan American championships and made it to the podium at worlds twice. The kumite clinic is mandatory for all Karate Alberta kumite provincial team prospects with attendance in either Calgary or St. Albert. The clinic is also OPEN to all Karate Alberta Members, with participants aged 11-years and older; having achieved a minimum of green belt in their respective styles. Karate Alberta Team Prospects and Karate Alberta Membership participant registration/sign-in/payment upon arrival to kumite clinic. The cost for the kumite clinic is $75.00 per person (cheque only payable to Karate Alberta). Participants are to bring water, kumite gi, full competition gear, lunch and snacks (45-minute lunch break provided).
